The Department of Digital Design (DDD) is concerned with the study of digital revolution that influences the art creation as well as design industry. The educational program, lead to the B.A. degree, is a digital convergence that students ,normally involved four academic years, will enjoy the mediums' utilization across miscellaneous concepts, from architecture, installation, animation, graphics, film/ video, photography, and music to the state-of-the-art digital applications. 3D computer graphics, computer games, virtual reality, web authoring, digital cinema and interactive narration are all the goodies to dig out.
By intensely practicing the digital tools and learning the theories associated, students will gradually develop their unique aesthetic view while digitally manifesting idea from scratch to significance. Therefore our curriculum is structured to enhance both disciplinary depth and interdisciplinary flexibility to creating engaged citizens and outstanding artists, designers, scholars and business leaders through a design- based professional and liberal education.
Ultimately, this highly interdisciplinary program will incorporate not only studio work leading to the formation of individuals with the requisite skills and theoretical understanding needed to create significant digital artifacts, but also include classroom analysis and criticism of the emerging forms.
To help students learning how to face the challenges of living, working and creative decision making in a work where designs are increasingly demanded, we embrace curricular innovation, pioneering uses of digital technology, collaborative methods and global perspectives on the future of digital world. |
